Our Story
DoughBalls was founded by us, Catriona & Lincoln; we had planned the launch of DoughBalls in SA for years prior to moving our life from the UK to make it happen! We opened our first restaurant in Glenelg in February 2020, and then COVID hit, and our story began…..
Lincoln was born in Adelaide and grew up in Kersbrook, whilst I am from the UK, and in June 2018 we moved our life from the UK to Adelaide to try and find the best spot for DoughBalls! At this time we had our six month daughter in tow. We now have two beautiful children, 6-year-old Maddison and 2-year-old Ronan, and they love visiting DoughBalls! (they are our biggest critics).
I have a long career in restaurants and hospitality and wanted to bring something special to South Australia. Our journey has been a crazy one, and every day it gets crazier, but we love it! We want to deliver our mission.

Over our five years in business so far we have had many challenges, successes and failures. In 2021 in the midst of COVID we brought our beautiful DoughBalls to Mawson Lakes, (unfortunately this one has just closed). However 2021 was also the year we began our successful Pop Up at Paxton Wines and our awesome catering business. 2022 & 2023 were years for us to build our team and grow, and now, in 2024, we have many exciting things to come. We are opening a brand new restaurant in Rundle Place, in Rundle Mall, and we have another surprise being announced very soon.
As parents of two young children, we found we couldn’t find restaurants in South Australia that welcomed young families with open arms; something was always missing. Our aim is to deliver a comfortable, inclusive dining experience for families and everyone else at great value.
We provide a full table service experience which means no more waiting at the counter! You can all sit and relax. We want to deliver delicious top quality Pizzas with unique flavours whilst catering to the things that everyone likes – We love Pineapple on Pizza!
